Arsenal Transfer News: Update On Whether 'Pedro Neto To Arsenal' Is Happening Or Not

Arsenal Transfer News: Fabrizio Romano told Caught Offside that Arsenal had been interested in signing Neto since the previous summer. Although they have not yet made a formal offer, the 23-year-old might be on their radar this summer.

He wrote: “Pedro Neto was on Arsenal’s list last summer and Arsenal usually (I mean in general) always keep following players they appreciate, let’s see if they will return; at this stage, nothing concrete is happening yet, despite rumours.”

This season has not gone well for Neto with the Wolves. Injuries have hampered him throughout the season. The winger, who is just 23 years old, has only logged a total of 758 minutes of Premier League action so far this season.

Regular football will give him a chance to overcome his fitness difficulties and get his career back on track. The Portuguese international was an important cog for Wolves before his injury, drawing interest from many teams.

The 23-year-old has all the makings of a great summer signing for Arsenal. The player is under contract with Wolves until 2027. So there is no urgency for the Molineux club to offload him this summer. Arsenal would need to make a substantial offer to sway their decision.

Keeping Neto at the club is an important goal for Wolves. They will look to the future and want to maintain their key players beyond this season. The 23-year-old can contribute significantly to Arsenal’s roster depth due to his adaptability in the offensive third.

Due to a lack of scoring alternatives, the Gunners have been unable to rotate in players like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli this season. Next year, Mikel Arteta will need to reorganize his squad. Therefore, he should recruit players who can assist him do so.

What’s next for the Gunners?

Arsenal needs to strengthen their roster in preparation for the Champions League. Neto’s versatility makes him a useful asset since he can be used on either wing. Arsenal will benefit from the speed and creativity of the 23-year-old Portuguese forward. The 23-year-old will undoubtedly be intrigued by the prospect of playing for the Gunners. They are among the favourites to win the Premier League this year.

Mikel Arteta thinks Arsenal should “look in the mirror” after the team’s Premier League aspirations were severely dented by a 4-1 loss to Manchester City. City played a dazzling game, and their opponents had no response, allowing City to narrow the deficit to two points and gain two games in hand. After Rob Holding had brought one back for the visitors, Kevin De Bruyne shone with two goals and an assist for John Stones’ header, and Erling Haaland scored a fourth. Arteta could only accept that his team had been totally outclassed.
