But, Batman day post 2014 are always commemorated on the third Saturday of September every year.
Is It The Dark Knight Or Bruce Wayne; Wait, Aren’t They One And The Same!?
Batman, or Bruce Wayne is the protector of Gotham City. He wows to protect the city from all sorts of crime and anti-social elements. It happened after he witnessed the death of his parents at the age of 13. A petty criminal murdered Thomas and Martha Wayne in a dark alley. It happened as they got out of a movie theatre. While he pulls off the persona of the eccentric, charismatic, and charming billionaire Bruce Wayne in the day, who is the owner of Wayne Enterprises, he turns into the Batman at the dawn of the night.
He is a quintessential superhero in the sense there is no one in the world for him. Known by many names, he barely keeps anyone close. That is, except his butler Alfred Pennyworth, who also is his closest friend. While he does not possess any sort of superhuman strength or ability, he is an expert martial artist possessing genius level intellect, and not to forget, billions in his bank account.
Batman maybe ruthless on the face of his exploits against some of the most ruthless and deadliest criminals, but he strictly follows his code of not killing anyone, no matter how heinous the crime or deadly the villain is. This has led to a lot of conversation about the gray area of the moral compass displayed by him.
Batman was first introduced to the world in 1939, on the 27th issue of Detective comics. The idea was to create a superhero to take advantage of the increasing superhero popularity created by the release of Superman. The character was changed from the regular generic version to one which was bat-like. What started off as a vigilante became a superhero, and a very popular one at that.
Batman has his own rivals. While his rivalry with the likes of Penguin, the Riddler, and Two-Face are well documented, it is his rivalry with the Joker that is the cream of the crop. The dynamic between the caped and the unhinged lunatic is one that has enraptured the imagination of the audience in the years gone by. The clash of the one who won’t stop at anything against the one who will stick by his morals. This has made for tantalizing viewing every single time, right through the ages.
Batman day is a global phenomenon. Countries likes India, Argentina, Brazil, UK, and Canada among the other countries along with USA who will be commemorating this day across the world in their own way. So the question is, will you be celebrating Batman Day as well? And if yes, from where will you be enjoying this day?
