Aston Villa Are Ready To Submit Offer For Arsenal Target

Arsenal news: Both Aston Villa and Fulham have sought to acquire Semih Kilicsoy, a bright young potential from Besiktas. Following a remarkable season in Turkey, these Premier League teams have taken an eye on the 18-year-old attacker. During his first season with the senior club, Kilicsoy—who can play throughout the front line—made 20 starts in the Super Lig, scoring 12 goals and helping to contribute 15 goals overall. His achievements increased his fame even further as they qualified Turkiye for Euro 2024.

Although Arsenal and Tottenham are showing interest, no North London team has yet formally proposed Kilicsoy. Rather, Fulham and Aston Villa have sharpened their hunt. Fulham was the first to make a bid, on Scout Brian Talbot’s advice. With the young Turkish attacker hopefully strengthening their assault, Marco Silva’s side provided €15 million plus add-ons. Besiktas rejected this offer, however, indicating their unwillingness to allow Kilicsoy go without any kind of recompense.

Aston Villa trailed with a better offer, €18 million for the Turkish international. Active in the transfer market this summer, Unai Emery views Kilicsoy as a possible acquisition among doubts over Jhon Duran’s future at the team. Besiktas turned down Villa’s bid as well, sticking to their Kilicsoy valuation—who still has four years remaining on his deal.

It’s unclear if either team would comeback with a better offer after both proposals were turned down. As the transfer window moves on, Kilicsoy’s circumstances will be under great observation. Any club trying to enhance their offensive choices finds the young striker appealing because of his potential.

Ultimately, even if Aston Villa and Fulham have showed desire, if they really want to guarantee Kilicsoy’s services, they may have to go farther into their resources. Besiktas is resolved not to let the adolescent leave cheaply; his worth might keep rising.

Arsenal is willing to let Eddie Nketiah go, but only if Marseille agrees to purchase him straight after a loan. In North London, the 25-year-old striker has had trouble establishing himself. Though he has over 150 appearances and 38 goals with the Gunners, he has not established himself as a first-choice attacker under Mikel Arteta.

Marseille has shown interest in bringing Nketiah to Ligue 1. Particularly with Aubameyang’s departure for Saudi Arabia, the club needs yet another striker. Although Mason Greenwood has already signed, the want for more firepower never goes away. Nketiah would be suitable, but Arsenal wants to guarantee the transaction is permanent by including a €30 million required buy clause.

Nketiah’s irritation with Arsenal has been mounting. He wants a new start after spending much of last season on the margins. Moving to Marseille would allow him to establish his value and get regular playing chances. Given the athlete looks open to make the transfer, personal terms apparently won’t be an issue.

Arsenal’s readiness to approve a loan agreement shows they are ready to move on from Nketiah. The forced purchase provision complicates matters, however. Marseille has to choose if they are ready to commit to such a large sum for a player who has not yet regularly shown himself at the top level.
