Arsenal Plot Bold Move For Rising Attacking Star Who Could Shake Up Arteta’s Plans

Arsenal set sights on Juventus prodigy Kenan Yildiz as Arteta eyes fresh attacking depth amid Trossard uncertainty and rivals’ interest.

Arsenal rekindle interest in Kenan Yildiz

According to Italian outlet Bianconera News, Arsenal once again show interest in Kenan Yildiz, the Juventus prodigy who already looks like one of the brightest attacking prospects in Serie A. The report suggests that the Gunners are eager to reinforce their forward line with a versatile option, and Yildiz fits the bill as someone who can play across the frontline. Although Arsenal chased him in the summer transfer window, they failed to get the deal done, and Juventus managed to keep their young star.

Despite Mikel Arteta already possessing several attacking options, the uncertainty surrounding Leandro Trossard’s long-term future means that Arsenal are still exploring potential reinforcements. They see Yildiz as an exciting addition who strengthens the squad and eventually challenges the current starters.

Yet, the situation looks far from straightforward, as Juventus appear determined to retain him and are working on a new contract that would raise his salary from €1.5 million to €6 million per year. Chelsea and Manchester United have both been linked with the Turkish international, but the likelihood of a move remains slim. Juventus refuse to let him leave, and with a contract running until 2029, Arsenal face an uphill battle.

Would Yildiz make sense for Arsenal?

The question of whether Arsenal need Kenan Yildiz is not straightforward, but it deserves a closer look. The Turkish attacker has enjoyed an impressive season with Juventus, where he scored nine goals and provided six assists in 48 appearances across all competitions. He plays well on either wing or through the middle, and his technical skills with composure in tight areas suit Arteta’s style perfectly. These qualities stand out, especially when comparing him to Arsenal’s existing wingers, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, who have both struggled for consistency at different points.

Yildiz could bring competition and push current wide players to raise their standards. He could even grow into a long-term successor, particularly on the left flank where Arsenal seek stability. On the other hand, questions linger over whether pursuing Yildiz should be the club’s priority, considering Juventus appear unwilling to part with him.

Reports value him at about €100 million, though Juventus may consider bids near €70 million. Arsenal, therefore, must weigh the cost against other potential targets, especially since Chelsea and Manchester United remain interested. The decision ultimately rests on whether Yildiz represents the right investment at this stage.
