Beloved Arsenal Fan “ShoX”; Advocate Of Good Mental Health And Positivity Passes Away

My tribute to one of the best Arsenal fans that I have known, “ShoX”-  Life is SHORT. If “it” needed to give you a reminder, well here’s yours!! Time flies by and you sometimes take it all for granted. YouTube videos, Twitter spaces and these endless conversations. No one thinks of looking back at the things they say, the moments they share or the happiness that is refreshed each and every day, to be replaced by something EPIC the next.

Often, we know a lot of our friends on Social Media platforms by their pseudo names. For those who do not know ” My Man, My Guy” here (as he said it), Chris (not using the full name to give the family some privacy) was a great Arsenal fan.

So Much Love From ShoX For The Rest Of The Arsenal Fanbase

As one of our friends (Dizzy) said on a Twitter space to give the great man his tribute, he was the GEL of our Twitter spaces. Always calm and having fun (apart from Friday nights, if you know you know). An amazing guy who loved his team and was always focused on winning!!

He, his girlfriend (no personal details please) and an amazing daughter (who was already a Goonerette) were part of our lives through YouTube and at times Twitter spaces. The guy could throw some BARS around and make some of the best RAPPERS shy!! Haha!! Will surely miss that!!

It is hard to understand why people on Social Media platforms share the bond they do. However, it is rather unfortunate that the emotions of possessiveness and brotherhood just flow way more than usual, when the loved one is lost!!

Life is just unpredictable and though as a friend and co-Gooner, I will not get much into the details about my friend’s demise. Diseases and infections are dangerous and I am sure ShoX would have wanted me to warn “his friends” and everyone else of the danger he suffered.

Shox, unfortunately, got meningitis and was in a coma in his final days. The infection in the blood eventually caused damage to his brain and the damage was irreversible. It hurts just to think about the disease and the pain, but the warrior fought it like we all knew he would. It was a fight for survival over the past four weeks, but the battle ended in vain. Sadly!!

Some Tweets That Were Sent Out For Him; As A Tribute (Sorry If I Miss A Few)

The guy working hard behind the scenes to provide us all with the latest updates and give me information about Chris. Thanks a lot, Ray-Ray!!

A rival fan (Spurs fan) and good friend to both of us, Elena had this to say-

Another rival fan Husam (Liverpool fan) added-

Limited is the space to talk about what everyone felt. However, the message has been sent through, hopefully. If I missed anyone, I apologize.

What can we do to help ShoX’s family out now? It’s time to act!!

If you knew the guy or watched his videos (ever), just help his family out. Not because they want you to, but as something that you would want your friends to do for you. Below is the link to donate!!

ShoX

Donate. Share and let your friends know too!!

We lost a GEM and if ARSENAL will not do anything to make this fan’s life count, the fanbase sure can!! Don’t just sit there, make yourself heard!! Keeping saying Shox, but Shox, yea Shox, but Shox, until someone tells you to SHUTUP and stop annoying them!! Cheers!! #COYG
