His scorching goalscoring record has been the primary driving element behind Liverpool’s bid for a historic quadruple. The club is now in the process of attempting to achieve.
Salah made news not so long ago for stating that he is in a better position than everyone else in his position. He said on BeIN Sports:
“If you compare me to any other player in the world who plays my position, not just those on my squad, you will discover that I am the best.”
What did Carlo Ancelotti say?
Ancelotti has commented on the comments made by the 29-year-old player by stating that the player is, in fact, correct in his evaluation. The Italian individual said to the reporters, as reported by Evening Standard:
“Salah has said that he is the finest in the world at what he does. I believe that he is correct. I share his viewpoint. Yes, he is the finest in the world at what he does, but only in his position.”
Salah is a right-winger by trade. There is no other player who operates from that position who has scored more goals than he has at this point. Additionally, he leads the battle for the Golden Boot in the Premier League with 22 goals. He also leads the league in assists with 13 for the season. Following his nomination for the current campaign, the attacker who formerly played for Chelsea and AS Roma is now working toward winning his second PFA Player of the Year title.
Salah was awarded the trophy for the last time for his record-breaking 32 goals scored in the English Premier League during the 2017–18 season. It was also his first season playing for Liverpool.
