T20 World Cup 2022: Ben Stokes Has Silenced His Critics Post Twitter Incident

Ben Stokes Writes A New Chapter Of His Own Story!! It has already been three days since the India women’s team completed the clean sweep over England, but it seems like the only topic that is on the mouths of every individual post that match is the Deepti Sharma dismissal of Charlotte Dean on the non-striker’s end, which was the final nail in England’s coffin.
The focus entirely shifted from the Swansong of arguably one of the greatest bowler’s in women’s cricket in Jhulan Goswami, to that run-out. Naturally, the critics kept coming in, invoking the old “Spirit of cricket” debate. A vast majority of England fans and players have come forwards slamming the Indian all-rounder for her manner of dismissal which ended the game. They were quick to call it out as unsportsmanlike and not in the right spirit.

Rules Are Meant To Be Broken; But This Wasn’t Even A Breach

So naturally, the Indian fans took it upon themselves to give the so-called advocates of the spirit of cricket a lesson. They started off by showing videos of Broad standing his ground. This was inspite of clearly being out after edging the ball to slip in a Test match.
But the biggest example cited across was the infamous 2019 World Cup Final. This was where England won the final after a rather dodgy incident, where the ball hit the bat of stokes and went to the boundary.
The Indian fans were of the opinion that when the decision is in favour of England, they are sticklers for rules, but the moment they are on the wrong side of the call, it becomes a matter of upholding the spirit of cricket and what not.
However, in all this hustle and bustle, Ben Stokes has come out with a tweet, which sees him rather confused as to why his name is being dragged into the debate out of absolutely nowhere.
Taking to Twitter, Stokes posted a GIF of a rather confused-looking man, with the message, “Why are people comparing a ball deflecting of my bat to a mankad?”. A tweet which could be identified as made in rather poor taste. Being England’s test captain and calling it a “Mankad”, when the rules of the game have clearly changed it to a run-out indicates that the tweet was meant as a jibe and nothing more.
Maybe it’s time that the inventors of the game go and read the rules for once, so they understand what exactly are they talking about.

Twitter Reacts To The Ben Stokes Controversy:

Ben Stokes Delivers Once Again; What A Player!!

When the England team needed him the most, he delivered. That is the calibre of Ben Stokes. The English all-rounder who was trolled since the 2019 50-over World Cup win over New Zealand. However, this one was as clean as they come. What a crucial knock of 52* from the man, who wasn’t even in the best of forms.

England dominated India and beat Pakistan with rather ease to lift their 2nd T20 World Cup. Not many would have expected them to win in Australia, after their recent Ashes showing. However, cricket is an unpredictable game and it is what it is!! Kudos to Ben Stokes and England!!
