Arsenal Newsnow: What’s the matter?
Arteta could have just sought to sign him in the summer. The interest from their rivals has prompted Arsenal to negotiate a deal. Even though Newcastle United had shown interest in the Spanish defensive phenom, they may have dropped out of the running after learning the player preferred another club.

Finally, Arsenal and Real Valladolid have reached an agreement on a transfer cost. The Gunners are agreeing to pay €15 million for the defender. Borussia Dortmund has reportedly shown interest, although a final decision has not been made.
They also had an offer accepted, for around the same amount. Fresneda will make a decision on his future club, with Arsenal optimistic about signing the Spanish defensive wonder. Real Sociedad may try to get the player back on loan for the rest of the season, making the next few days important for this trade.
Whether or not that’s possible for Arsenal is still up in the air. If Cedric Soares signs with Fulham this month, they could see Fresneda as a suitable alternative. According to experts, the acquisition of the Spanish defensive star is a wise investment with great potential.
The Gunners have signed Jakub Kiwior
Arsenal has signed Jakub Kiwior, formerly of Spezia Calcio, to a long-term deal. The 22-year-old Polish defender was a member of the national team that competed in the last FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He played in 43 games for the Italian club. At the age of 18, Jakub moved to the Slovakian team FK Zeleziarne Podbrezova. He spent his youth career with the Polish club GKS Tychy and the Belgian club Anderlecht, respectively.
Jakub spent a year with them before moving on to MSK Zilina, where he spent the next two years and made 46 appearances. He was so successful with the club that in August of 2021, they transferred him to Spezia, where he started every game at left central defence. For Poland, Jakub made his debut when he was in Italy, and he has since made eight more appearances.
