Burnley reportedly wants to acquire Albert Sambi Lokonga in the next transfer season. The newly promoted club is looking to improve their roster for the next season. They have their sights set on the Arsenal midfielder. He would be joining them on loan at Turf Moor.
After making his way through the ranks at RSC Anderlecht, Lokonga signed with the Gunners in the summer of 2021. The 23-year-old had a few chances to make an impact. However, he was never a consistent member of the first squad.
Although Mikel Arteta tried, he was unable to provide the former Anderlecht midfielder regular playing time. So, during the current season’s winter break, he loaned him to Crystal Palace.
He has played in 24 games this season, nine of which have been for the Eagles. As a result of his lack of success, the 23-year-old is expected to return to his parent club this summer. It’s doubtful that things will improve for him at Arsenal. Therefore he may try to leave.
Meanwhile, Burnley is quite interested in adding him to the team. The Clarets have had a phenomenal season in the EFL Championship. They are ready to return to the Premier League.

Since taking over as manager, Vincent Kompany has worked miracles and is already making preparations for the forthcoming season in the English Premier League.
Even though his team is up against some of the top teams in the world in the Premier League, Kompany is certain that the 23-year-old can assist them. Lokonga has known the Belgian boss from his early days as an employee at Anderlecht.
