Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool club management must be active in the transfer window in January to win at least one title this season. They also have an aim to finish in the top four of the League Table to qualify for the Champions League next season. The forward line of Liverpool is looking so much dangerous with Philippe Coutinho, Mohamed Salah, Firmino and Sadio Mane. It was also proved in their biggest away victory in Champions League when they had beaten Maribor with a margin of 7-0 a week ago. But their defense is showing really poor form and the midfield is not also supporting them in the big matches. The defeat against Tottenham with a big margin of 4-1 has been telling the whole scenario. So the players Liverpool should target this summer are :
3. Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli) :
The defensive superstar, who plays for Serie A outfit Napoli and the Senegalese national football team, usually fills in the role of a centre-back while representing his club and country, was linked with the Reds. A large, quick and physically strong yet elegant player, he is recognised for his aerial prowess, anticipation, passing ability and versatility, as he can play both as a central defender, or as a fullback on either the right or the left flank as well, in both a three or four-man defence; he has even been deployed as a defensive midfielder.
Koulibaly is a utility player for a manager as he can play in different positions in the field as full back or a centre back or even as a defensive midfielder also. This summer Liverpool were also interested in him but the player’s agent had told that Koulibaly would wish to win the Serie A title for Napoli this season. But, the ongoing problem of Liverpool in the defensive third could force them to bid a huge amount for the player this January and they will hope that with that huge transfer money could help them to bring ‘The Wall’ of Napoli to Anfield this winter.
