Dennis Freedman, an Australian citizen who is an avid supporter of the Pakistan Cricket team, recently took to Twitter to share a meme demeaning the Indian cricket team. The tweet has received widespread hatred from not only Indian fans but also from cricket fans all over the world in general.
Dennis Freedman Trolls Team India With A Subtle Meme
The meme was posted on Dennis’ official Twitter account ‘Dennis WTC Final’. It is a verified account mind you. The image showed a killer robot from a certain anime hunting for a small girl. The girl was hiding underneath a table. The Robot has been marked as an in-form New Zealand team after defeating England, and the small kid has been marked as a Frightened Indian team.

It should be noted that New Zealand recently beat England in a 2 match test series 1-0. The first match ended in a draw and the second match was won by the Kiwis on Day 4. New Zealand captain Kane Williamson missed the second test due to an unforeseen injury. The fact that the Black Caps managed to defeat England without their best player, shows how well they are prepared for the upcoming WTC Finals.
The Post That Caught The Attention Of Cricket Fans On Social Media
The Pakistan fan named Dennis, who tweeted the meme, is actually a very entertaining cricket fan. He also owns a website in which he posts alternative narratives to specific Cricket matches. He is well known for trolling India and Indian cricket fans on his Social media handles.
Dennis Freedman has often travelled long distances to watch Pakistan’s matches. On one occasion, he invited Pakistani fans all over the world to fund his travel. That was to witness Pakistan’s match. To everyone’s surprise, the Australian got a huge response and his endeavour was a great success. This meme that he posted today, was his take on the WTC Finals.
The much-awaited World Test Championship Finals will kick off in a week’s time on 18th June. It is a five-day one-off Test match between India and New Zealand and is the first tournament of such a kind.
What Will Be The Fate Of Team India In England?
The match will be played in England, making it the first time that a test match is being hosted by a non-participating nation. The Indian team had already reached England many weeks ago due to the Covid situation in India.
The Men In Blue are currently playing simulated intrasquad matches to practice for the finals. BCCI has been releasing short videos of each day of the intra-squad match. The fans are just loving it. In some of the clips, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been seen bowling, whereas, in some others, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has been seen in his vintage explosive form hitting sixes. The ‘spiderman’ of India even scored a knock of 121 runs which gives an idea regarding the form that he currently is in.
Eyes will also be on youngster Shubman Gill. The 22-year-old suffered a recent drop in form in the IPL. However, the performance that he gave in the test series against Australia, gives hopes to the fans. The youngster also scored an 80 runs knock in the Intra-squad match.
