MS Dhoni Was Missed- The Indian cricket team has defeated Australia in the second T20 and thus sealed the series. The Indian cricket fans are in a mood to celebrate. They have showered their love for the team on all social media platforms. Among those posts, one particular post caught everyone’s attention and the cricket world is just loving it.
The post shows that the Indian fans who went to see the second T20 match between India and Australia live in the stadium witnessed an unforgettable incident which we, sitting at our homes, probably missed. But thanks to the guy who captured and posted it, we all have the footage now.
The Video That Went Viral About Virat Kohli Missing MS Dhoni
In yesterday’s match, India won the toss and decided to bowl first. The incident happened in the first innings when the Australian side was batting. A bunch of Indian fans had gone to the stadium with a huge placard saying “ WE MISS YOU DHONI “. The placard was huge enough for skipper Virat Kohli to notice when he came near the boundary line to the field. He saw the placard and instantly said “Me too” using sign language. The part of the crowd that noticed it, went crazy and started chanting Dhoni and Kohli’s name. Luckily for us, a person in that “Dhoni-fan group” recorded the clip and posted it on his Instagram handle ‘aashan.deva’.

We all know about Kohli’s relationship with MS Dhoni. Virat has always openly accepter the fact that he looks on to Dhoni for mentorship and guidance all the time. Dhoni is a friend cum mentor for Virat. While Dhoni’s tenure as India’s wicketkeeper under Kohli’s captaincy, there have been several instances when clips of their on-field chemistry have gone viral on social media. Kohli was often seen taking advice from Dhoni regarding the field placements during the matches as well. It is obvious that Cheeku misses Dhoni.
Recently, Yuzvendra Chahal had quite a nostalgic moment related to MS Dhoni as well. In a vlog video, Chahal was sitting on the second last seat of team India’s bus. He pointed to the last seat (where Mahendra Singh Dhoni used to sit) and said “Yaha ek legend baithte the. Wo seat unhiki hai. Hum me se koi us seat par nahi baithta” (translation:- A legend used to sit here. It’s his and only his seat. None of us sit there. We keep that seat vacant). It’s thus obvious that not only Virat but the entire Indian cricket team and the fans as well miss MS Dhoni as well.
The Story Of The Second T20I Between Australia And India
In yesterday’s match, there was another incident when Dhoni’s name came out. During India’s batting, Mitchell Swepson bowled the ninth over. In the final delivery of the ninth over, Swepson landed a short ball outside off-stump to which Dhawan wanted to cut but missed it completely. Much like MS Dhoni, Mathew Wade, Australia’s wicketkeeper, waited for Dhawan to get off balance and lift his feet above the crease.
He then went for a quick stumping. Shikhar Dhawan was aware of this though and he quickly retracted just in time. This smart way of stumping by waiting for the batsman to lift his leg was introduced by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Wade copied Dhoni’s style but unfortunately wasn’t quick enough. He then funnily said, “Not Dhoni, not quick enough like Dhoni!”, which got recorded in the stump microphone. Dhawan, Wade and the commentators were all seen laughing after that.
