The first Test match of India vs Australia test series starts on 17th December at the Adelaide over. Speculations regarding the ever expected gripping series have already started. And with that, the trash talks have started as well. This time though, the Australians started it on Twitter. But we have our saviour in the form of former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer. The Ranji legend has now made it a habit to bash the trollers of India on a regular basis on his exponentially growing Twitter handle.
The Initial Tweet That Caught Everyone’s Attention
The highest run-scorer of Ranji Trophy retired from professional cricket on 7th March this year, during the lockdown. Since then, Twitter has been his go-to social media platform. Through his savage replies to Cricket celebrities and others who criticize the Indian cricket team, he has now acquired a huge fanbase of 76k.

Today, a Sri Lankan cricket fan troller India through a tweet. In the tweet, wrote, “What will be the Australia-India test series result be?”
Saying this, he ran a poll with the options:-
- Australia 4 – India 0
- Australia 3 – India 0
- Australia 2 – India 0
- Australia 1 – India 0
What Wasim Jaffer Responded To The Tweet By Saying?
It was obviously a humorous troll speculating that the Indian team would win none of the matches of the test series. However, the tweet was noticed by some of the Indian cricket fans and they tagged Wasim Jaffer on the tweet.
How could have the ‘Meme King’ not have answered to such a troll? He retweeted the particular tweet and replied with a meme from the famous Bollywood film Welcome. In the meme, Anil Kapoor is saying, “Is shareef Shane ki Kundli chahiye mujhe” (I want every detail of this brat). The guy who posted the tweet is actually a famous identity in Sri Lanka. He even has more Twitter followers (96k) than Wasim Jaffer. As per his Twitter bio, the person is the Administrator of Island Cricket, a fan-based Sri Lankan Cricket site. It would be interesting to see whether the Sri Lankan replies to Wasim Jaffer’s comments.

Wasim Jaffer Does It Again; Twitter Trendsetter?
This is not the first time that Wasim is bashing the trolls with memes. In fact, it is now his favourite pastime. Earlier this week, the 42-year old also gave a witty reply to former Australian spinner Brad Hogg’s critical tweet on team India’s batting line-up.
The Australian tour has so far been a bag of mixed emotions for the Indian team. They suffered a 2-1 loss in the ODI series. But they came back to win the T20 series. Some players of the Indian team have also been in commendable form. Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya showed exceptional all-round performance. Indian skipper Virat Kohli has also looked in shape. Youngster Thangarasu Natarajan has left a very good mark in his debut tour. The youngster is however not included in the test squad.
Many other changes will be seen in India’s Test squad as well. Umesh Yadav, who was in a very good form in the practice matches, will be joining the men in blue. The best addition, however, will be Rohit Sharma. BCCI has finally sanctioned Rohit’s availability and he would massively add to the depth in India’s batting line-up.
