Not everything went right for Team India in the first Test match. On the other hand, the second game has been comparatively better for them. However, some things just don’t go right at times in any game. One such incident happened with Indian skipper Virat Kohli. The incident, as usual, went viral on Social Media, as the fans jumped to comment on the incident.
What Happened With Virat Kohli And Why Did The Umpire Warn Him?
Things were going slightly downhill for Team India, who lost a few quick wickets in the second innings of the second Test match. However, when Virat Kohli came in to bat, he tried to steady the ship. He was successful in doing so with the help of Ravichandran Ashwin.

The duo put up a partnership of 90 runs, which guided India to a very good lead. They were able to set up a target of 482 runs for England to chase. That was a next-to-impossible score for the visitors to chase down. That too in the fourth innings of the game, with day 4 and day 5 still left.
With that being said, Virat Kohli ran on the pitch while he was batting. The umpire warned him and he was not happy with the call. It was Nitin Menon who warned Virat Kohli. He was the same umpire who eventually gave King Kohli out, in a close call. The Indian skipper would not have appreciated that call either.
How Social Media Reacted To The Call By Umpire Nitin Menon’s Decision To Warn The Indian Skipper
It was Kohli, who is known for his world-class batting, who was handed an official warning by the match umpire for running on the pitch. This incident actually took place in Dan Lawrence’s over. He bowled the final over of India’s innings before the Lunch break and Virat Kohli was a little careless.
Ravichandran Ashwin played a good shot and managed to find the gap. It was Virat Kohli crossed from one side to the other side of the pitch, as he tried to complete the run. However, when he made that error, the umpire had to warn him.
This is how some of the fans on Twitter reacted to the decision-
Running down the pitch and then arguing with the umpire.
