The Indian chinaman Kuldeep Yadav reckons that MS Dhoni’s time in the Indian Team is not over yet. The former Indian captain should make his comeback into the national team. MS Dhoni has advised Kuldeep Yadav on several instances during the game and that has helped him immensely. Kuldeep said that Team India players are missing Dhoni and wants him to get back into the team.
Dhoni has been out of the Indian team and cricket for close to a year now. He last played in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 semi-final against New Zealand in Manchester. MS Dhoni scored a half-century but could not take his side to victory. Kuldeep said that the veteran wicketkeeper advises him as per the match situation.
“We all are missing Mahi bhai. I am a big fan of Mahi bhai. I really want him to come back into the team soon and play. Personally, I really feel he should play for India again,” Kuldeep told to The Times of India.
Kuldeep Yadav said that MS Dhoni is his go-to advisor
“Whenever we stepped onto the field, Mahi bhai would come up with some instant advice. That advice helped me a lot in my career. He is a great instant advisor. Mahi Bhai is someone who does not believe giving advice ahead of and after the game. He will analyse things and come up with instant advice on the field. That is what Virat (Kohli) bhai does as well,” he stated.
Kuldeep even spoke about the differences between MS Dhoni and the current Indian captain Virat Kohli. He even did not forget to mention the importance of the vice-captain, Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma takes on the captaincy duties when Virat Kohli is not part of the playing eleven.
“Mahi bhai is an instant advisor, Virat bhai is a great motivator. Apart from these two, Rohit bhai also guided me a lot on many occasions. I am really grateful that I am playing under seniors like Virat, Dhoni and Rohit,” Kuldeep added.
Kuldeep Yadav has achieved a fair bit of success in international cricket. The tweaker has picked up 143 wickets in total from 60 ODIs and 21 T20Is respectively. He also holds the record of being the only Indian bowler to get two hat-tricks in the 50-overs cricket. Moreover, he has scalped 24 wickets in the six Tests that he has played.
The Update On The Former Skipper’s Future
It is quite clear that the IPL was the main platform where Dhoni could have saved his international career. He was out-of-form and his critics were on his back. He would have wanted to prove them wrong by putting in a good-solid performance this term. However, that did not happen.
Despite that, it would be really tough now, as the tournament may not even happen now. With that being said, things are getting quite interesting, with a lot of rumours going around.
Recently, there was a trend going around on Twitter, suggesting that MS Dhoni had retired. However, an angry Sakshi Dhoni came out and dismissed those claims. It will be interesting to see how things develop in the days to come. Only time will tell whether MSD will be returning to action any time soon or not.
