There was a fiery incident on the third day of the Test match between the two countries. Hasan got himself involved in a fiery encounter between himself and Zimbabwe batsman Luke Jongwe. The incident sparked off in the third ball of the 49th over of Zimbabwe’s second innings. Hasan, having bowled his first two deliveries, attempted to have a go against Luke. Luke did not shy back, he smashed Hasan for a boundary through the covers.
However, that did not deter Hasan from stepping back. Instead, he charged towards Luke and directed a few more verbal volleys towards him. The stump mic caught Luke shouting ‘What”. Ultimately, the on-field umpires had to intervene to cool the heated exchange. Such was the intensity of the altercation that wicketkeeper Mohammed Rizwan had to go towards Hasan Ali and drag him away from the incident.
