English all-rounder Ben Stokes on Tuesday took on to social media to post a video of his room – giving his fans a tour – as he endures a quarantine of six days ahead of England’s four-match Test series against India. In the video, Ben Stokes spoke about the activities he’ll engage in, mentioning the fact that he finds women deodorants better than men.

The English mainstay will make a return to the cricket field in the series after being rested for England’s Sri Lanka tour owing to the revolving policy of the English Cricket Board. His role in the game will hold importance as the visitors will have to clean sweep Virat Kohli and company or at least secure a 3-0 to make it to the finals of the World Test Championship to be played at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in June.

The COVID-19 protocols have directed Joe Root’s England to quarantine. They need to clear COVID tests before receiving permission to play in the series. The players will be isolated in their rooms for six days. However, Stokes – who flew a little earlier to India compared to his teammates – has already settled himself in a Chennai five-star hotel.
Sharing the video of the room, Ben Stokes showed his fans the ways he has to keep himself busy. He first made a tour to his living room, a laptop for video games and television for entertainment waiting for him there.
Then he went on to the bedroom and bathroom. In the bathroom, the first thing Ben Stokes focused on was the protein powder in the sink. That was before showing a female deodorant. He admitted then that he likes the female ones better than the men’s. Lastly, Ben Stokes focused the camera on the limiting door outside. That was where he was not allowed to step foot in the quarantine.
What’s next for the England Cricket Team; a great series coming up?
Joe Root and the rest of the players arrived in Chennai on Monday. The series starts on February 5 and all the English players would want to get out of quarantine and get some practise before facing the likes of a confident Indian side
The New Zealand-based player played a pivotal role in the England cricket team’s first Cricket World Cup win in 2019. He was also an integral part of the English squad that faced Australia in Ashes 2019. Last year, Stokes was the highest run-scorer in Test cricket.
The India vs. England Test series will begin next Friday in Chennai. It will be interesting to see how the visitors perform on a pitch that is known for a sheer spin and turn. The final two days are expected to keep the batsmen buzzing about the movement the spinners get.
