Before the IPL season gets along, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals were already taking on each other. Not on the pitch but on Twitter rather. The two admins got engaged in what turned out to be a funny incident. Royal Challengers Bangalore announced their fixture list for the new season on their Twitter handle.
They were asking fans about the game they are anticipating the most. The interesting thing happened when they showed an old logo of counterparts Rajasthan Royal. This was days after they unveiled the new one.

The team changed its logo from golden to white to contrast with the background colour change from blue to pink. The inaugural champions quickly replied with a meme with a scene from ‘The Simpsons’. The edited scene showed one of the characters of the famous American cartoon writing on the green board, “I will use the correct logo of RR”
To which the Bengaluru based franchise hit back hilariously. Won the Tweet battle for sure. They posted a recent picture of Royals star Sanju Samson in which the cricketer from Kerala was seen wearing a helmet with the old logo attached to it. RCB twitter admin uses that photo by captioning, ‘So you are showing this is the incorrect logo?’ The post got 4.3 like and over 500 people retweeted the matter. Hilarious stuff.
A Poor Start To The Campaign For Both Sides?
Both sides will be willing to make the best of their chances in their upcoming IPL season. The tournament is rescheduled to UAE because of the pandemic situation in India. It is due to start on September 19th. Rajasthan Royals have been in the playoff thrice but haven’t managed to win the silverware since their first season.
Royal Challengers Bangalore have a poor record of their own with them being the side not winning the IPL even once despite adding some big stars in their squad over the years. Both sides were also inconsistent in their last campaign, failing to make to the playoffs. A change of faith is demanded.
This funny Tweet war before the two actually got on the pitch to challenge each other. This was just a breather, to say the least. It showed how social media is engaging everyone day by day with official pages now plunging themselves in meme clash for each other’s stupidity.
What Next For Both Teams?
Both teams will want to put in better performances from here on. They will be hoping to win some of their upcoming matches, in order to make it into the playoffs. Once that is secured, a few good games can help them win a title.
If RCB wins it this time, which a lot of fans are hoping, it will be their first-ever. Rajasthan Royals are struggling more than RCB this term. However, they still have one title under their belt.
