It was been the perfect day for Rohit Sharma. What a great start to the fourth Test for him. Started off day 1 with a brilliant catch, followed by a medium pace delivery that he bowled for the first time. To add to that, he had a brilliant troll moment, where he really got the better of wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant.
It was caught on tape and spread on Social Media, with fans once again making it viral. No one could get over the fact that Pant was so excited by a catch that he took, which they thought wasn’t out.
The Video Of Rishabh Pant Appealing And The Reaction From Rohit That Went Viral
With that being said, everyone including Ajinkya Rahane looked bemused. They could not understand what was going on. Though Team India had three reviews left, they decided against taking it.
Rishabh Pant was heaps keen on this one but he was getting donuts from the cordon! ? #AUSvIND pic.twitter.com/p4kHh536IZ

The batsman at the crease was Aussie skipper Tim Paine. He had tried to play a shot off of T Natarajan, that seemed to have missed the bat.
Was There Anything To Look At In That Replay?
As per Rishabh Pant, there was more to that replay that caught the eye. As per him, the ball had hit the bat and it should have been referred. However, the slips did not support his claim. They had other ideas.
With that being said, skipper Ajinkya Rahane agreed with them. He did not waste a review on the incident and let it go. As per the reaction of the fans on Social Media and other Pundits, that seemed to be the right call. Let’s wait and watch!!
What Next For Team India And Rohit Sharma In This Match Now?
The hosts had a fairly good day 1. They have scored 274/5 in 87 overs. It is a decent first innings score and will want to try to get close to that 400 run mark. On the other hand, Team India will want to wrap things up rather quickly. They know that if they let Australia score freely, it will mean that the game will slowly start slipping away from them.
They will need a couple of good sessions on day 2 to stay in the game. Team India is without a lot of their first-choice players. Hence, they do have a few concerns in the personnel. Despite that, they have put up a good fight so far. It will be interesting to see whether they can now perform well for the rest of the match or not.
Rohit Sharma and co. will have to bat really well. The Indian opener who made his return to the Test team recently will have to lead from the front. He will have to put on a big score if Team India has to have a chance of winning this game and the Test series in itself. Let’s wait and watch to see how things develop in this match now.
